   3.6 07/12/98	Added ScanQuix support. Better handling of corrupted fax files. Fixed crash after polling. Fixed problem with Solo modems setting S0=3 after AT+VIP. Auto Answer works again even with Shared on. *Pay attention* to what you do when they are bot set! Fixed bug: the ring counter didn't reset if the answer procedure was aborted after the first ring. Fixed bug: hanging up too early when manually answering an incoming call could lead to a crash. Fixed Enforcer Hits during image->fax conversion. Reduced baud rate when downloading faxes from the Message Plus/Pro modem. Added experimental support for ADPCM-2 sample format for USRobotics modems (should give better results): you can enable it using the USEADPCM2 tooltype/CLI argument. Please note that you can't convert samples to voice messages or viceversa when you use this setting.
   3.5 08/10/98	The fax viewer uses FastMem to store the fax bitmap. Added "IGNORESPKPHONEERR" argument as a workaround for a bug in some SupraExpress 336 V+ modems. Added a workaround for ELSA Microlink ISDN/TL v.34 TA's, which have problems with the +FAA command. Added Caller ID info parsing for the ELSA Microlink format. Added CID name parsing. Added "Receive Fax" button to the speakerphone windows. When setting the init string, other settings will be changed according to the chosen modem type. STFax searches for the caller name in the CManager database too. Added recognition of Kortex Adaptix modems. Increased the maximum length for the "Send to" gadget in the Send Fax window, thus making possible to send a fax to more recipients. When sending a fax to multiple recipients a cover will be created if the phonebook entry is set so or if the Make Cover gadget in the Send Fax window is ticked. Fixed bug when closing the Message Plus messages window. Fixed a timing problem in the Class 1 engine: now you should be able to send/receive faxes without having to set Log to Debug. Fixed: wrong size for saved WAVs. Fixed: the printer driver created broken documents if printing more than 2-4 pages.
   3.4 11/08/98	The viewer keeps the current scale when changing page. Added "Call Monitor" option to Prefs/Modem. Added "CALLMONITOR" ARexx command. Printer driver: now it recognizes printer.device v42.50 correctly. Printer driver: if STFax isn't running, it'll be started. Added DATA ONLY mode. Added "GETCALLERID" ARexx command. Added "GETCALLERNAME" ARexx command. USR Message Pro is recognized. More accurate fax reception speed report. Fixed: the Test function in the voice script panel didn't use the current value of the PlayTo cycle gadget in the Messages page. Fixed Remote Access problems. Fixed problem with the MENU command. Fixed bug: the viewer could crash if there wasn't enough memory when going to another page.
   3.3b 06/07/98	Fixed: the Independent mode menu didn't open the right requester on USR Modems. Fixed: the volume slider in the speakerphone window now works on Pace and USR modems too. Fixed: Prefix string setting wasn't saved.
   3.3	Added support for Pace Solo modems. Added support for USR Message Plus modems. STFax aborts the message recording operation automatically when you pick the telephone handset up (if your modem supports this feature). Added "View Fax" button to the Send Fax window. Added "Phonebook" button to the Send Fax window. Added Print section among the Preferences. Added Prt Driver On/Off hooks. Added support for Contact Manager. Added "Hang up" flag to the RECORD MSG command. Added caller's name in the Status window. Added "Play new messages" function. Added setting to control STFax's behaviour upon the reception of a RTN frame. Fixed: the setting "Max message duration" is now saved. Fixed (really :) Play File in the Call Operato command was not saved. Improved the behaviour of the RECORD MSG command when forcing the message to go into a specified voice box. Changed the separator character from ',' to ';' in the Send Fax window as ',' is used by the modem. Fixed: Add to phonebook for voice messages put the number in the fax field. Fixed some problems with the speakerphone window. Fixed a problem with the phonebook. Fixed some gadget hotkey conflicts.

   New in this version (compared with AWeb 3.0b)

   The v3.2 patch is a minor update available free to v3.x customers from our website, shipping copies are still v3.1. Also check for new plugin and macro updates regularly put up on our AWeb page.

   Some of the features of AWeb-II v3.x are:

   • Supports HTML 2.0 thru 4.0 features, 3 selectable HTML mode settings to allow maximum flexibility in handling buggy/non-standard code.
   • Full support for Frames/Tables with backgrounds, page history window. Spoof-As and Spamblock options, ClassAct GUI provided with AWeb.
   • JavaScript 1.1 support with debugger and standalone CLI interpreter.
   • Added support for MiamiSSL secure transfer, login/proxy authorization.
   • More versatile cookie protection and a cookie alert requester. Cookie save file is now in readable form.
   • Internal support for FTP file downloads, server push and client pull.
   • Basic internal EMail sending & News reader, support for externals.
   • A new public plugin interface. Plugin modules can do their rendering directly in the AWeb browser window. The API (Application Program Interface) is available as a separate archive, contact Yvon Rozijn for further information. This provides support for anim and progressive image display.
   • New internal awebplugin image display modules for GIF, JFIF, and PNG images with progressive/anim and scaling support. Complete datatype support with expanded MIME type settings for all ouput direction.
   • Standalone images are now shown in the AWeb window, or can use an optional external image viewer. Supports client side maps, floating images, centering, borders and icons.
   • Full disk Cache, enhanced cache Browser with find functions and able to delete multiple file entries. Automatic memory cache for currently displayed pages with adjustable settings to control memory and disk space usage. Fix cache function for cleanup of bad files.
   • Greatly enhanced and expanded ARexx command set, ARexx macro menu.
   • Now with Clipboard support, added Control Menu items, including copy block, drag-select text from a page and cut & paste to the URL field.
   • New, fully configurable user buttons can be added below the existing AWeb toolbar, scrollable for a row longer than screen width. AWebs GUI buttons and transfer anim are replaceable with some alternates provided or you can custom make your own.
   • The Frame, Image and Link popup menues are now fully configurable.
   • Powerful hotlist manager with dual windows, Add/Delete, In/Out/Move, and Sort/Find functions.
   • A new Info window with HTTP transfer headers, meta information and current documents links. New Template popup menu on the URL field.
   • Network status window shows file transfer status, allows cancelations and now shows CPS rate.
   • Full Graphics dump printing of displayed page, text printing via HTTX.
   • Extensive Locale language support, docmentation translations for a number of languages available from our website.
   • The page Search function now highlights the text found, new docs search function, network auto-search fuction via the URL field.
   • Separate AWeb GUI palette, full color support for grapics cards and improved greyscale palette for alternate image display on ECS.
   • Edit or show the HTML source code with automatic page display update.
   • New Settings Menu with 5 separate windows for extensive configuration. Fully configurable hotkeys, AppWindow and Iconify functions.
   • The No-proxy, No-cookie, and Do-not-cache lists are now sorted and support pattern matching.

     Quelques spécifications de la v2.4 (engl.):
     

   • New integrated Search Bar, allowing you to easily perform searches of your favourite sites. Search engines can be added manually or automatically via the Mycroft project site
   • The Status Bar has been overhauled to optionally provide the status of IBrowse graphically. Due to requiring less space than text, this has allowed us to show additional statuses such as when Javascript is being processed
   • Plugin API system for embedded objects based on the v4 NPAPI (Netscape Plugin API) to allow for easier porting of NS compatible plugins, this is used to allow IBrowse to display embedded objects (such as flash animations) within the browser when a suitable plugin is available.
   • Support for AmiSSLv3 has been added to IBrowse 2.4, allowing the use of the most up to date SSL implementation available for AmigaOS.
   • Context sensitive mouse pointers have been added, providing different mouse pointers in different areas of IBrowse.
   • Background tab loading has finally been added to the Browser Tabs. Links can be opened in new browsers which remain inactive, allowing you to continue browsing the original page uninterrupted.
   • The spoofing engine has been totally re-written for 2.4, and provides a range of pre-defined spoofing options.
   • The JavaScript engine has been improved yet further providing support for more event handlers, and improved DOM support, along with some significant speed increases in certain areas. It now supports the complete JavaScript 1.6 extension, as found in Firefox 2.0, along with the majority of JavaScript 1.5 and the revision 3 of the ECMAScript (ECMA-262) specification.
   • HTTP compressed content support has been added, which includes both gzip and deflate algorithms.
   • On websites which ask for a username and password in a HTML based form, IBrowse can now (optionally) save these details for future visits.
   • Web Advert Control Language (WACL) is a feature of IBrowse based on a proposal by Stefan Stuntz for a user configurable, flexible scripting language to control the display of adverts on webpages.
   • Improved general stability and memory leaks plugged.
   • Hundreds of other minor and major bug fixes + improvements, and increased tolerance of broken sites for better compatibility.
